 Openings, for me, have always been a little bittersweet. It's extremely rewarding to see people enjoy and experience something you put time into, but while the show is just beginning, the end of the work means its about time to move on to the next thing. This show and series mean a lot to me personally (I'll share some specifics in an upcoming post) and the last year has brought some welcome changes to my goings-on. It will be interesting to see what sticks, what trends fall away, and what the next year will bring. Tomorrow is 1 year to the day since this series technically started...so I suppose I'll embrace that coincidence and get started on the next one! Thanks to everyone who came out Friday and made the opening an energetic and extremely enjoyable evening. I appreciate all the support and it's honestly hard to communicate how much it means to have people interested in and experience something through what I've been working on. Art can be a very isolating endeavor and, sales or not, it's inspiring to see people enjoy the work.
